Nestlé: Design Thinking
Nestlé required a proof of concept to demonstrate that design thinking can accelerate their need to innovate the use of plastic in their product’s packaging.
About the project
We spent two days with the Nestlé team to rethink how various products could be created, packaged, and shipped without the use of single use plastic.
I designed the flow of the workshop using and modifying activities from design thinking. The arc of the day was split into four pillars: Understand, Diverge, Converge, and Plan. These pillars were used to tackle the problem of single use plastic packaging and facilitate meaningful conversations.
Value provided
Through the work with Nestlé and Henkel, I shaped the design thinking practice at Theorem. From the time spent with Nestlé and the synthesis of ideation over the two days spent together, we were able to help the team secure funding to build their own innovation program.
